Hey Y’all!
My name is Jess. I’m married to my best friend, Michael, and we have two children, Huck and Luna.
I’m an Alabama native turned Nevada resident. Living out west was never my dream because I’ve always treasured being close to family and growing old with my sisters. However, when I look outside my front window, I can’t help but gaze at the countryside where God has placed me and my family. We have mountainous views, long, snowy winters, and tall, California trees to enjoy when we want to go on a short drive.
My husband is a pastor at our sweet little church, and I enjoy hiking, going to the movies (by myself that is), and learning to be a better homemaker.
My life is hectic. I have a three and one year old. I don’t get much time to myself, and I don’t get much time to rest. This is a season, I know. I want to be fully present in my home, attuned to everyone’s needs, but sometimes I struggle to walk confidently in God’s will with joyous submission. I want to really own 100% of my responsibilities and thrive in my role as a wife, mom, homemaker, and employee (I work remotely full-time).
I invite you to walk with me through this path of making the most of where God has placed you. It has taken nearly 5 years of living out west to feel I have been given a sense of “place,” so I hope you’ll be encouraged to get busy with the time and tools you’ve been handed to make your home a haven for your family–a place where friends and family will want to return.
