10 Great Date Night Questions for Married Couples

Hey there! Some links on this page are affiliate links which means that, if you choose to make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I greatly appreciate your support! View my full disclosure HERE.

Finally getting out of the house to spend some much needed time with your spouse? No matter how long you’ve been married or how much you know about your husband, there is still so much to learn! Asking questions on a date night can help bridge that gap.

Intentionally growing in knowledge of your husband tends to be pushed off; especially when it comes to how he is feeling on a regular basis.

On your date, be sure to set aside some time in the car and at dinner to purposefully check in to see how your husband is REALLY doing. When I do this with my husband, I like to try and cover a few areas of his life to make sure he’s able to process a few things, and to show him my love and genuine care for him.

If you’re short on time for talking, or if your husband is not much of a talker and processes things in smaller chunks, consider choosing only 2 or 3 questions to ask. This can encourage further conversation and deeper relationship building during your time together.

You may be surprised by what you learn about one another!

Here Are 10 Questions to Ask Your Husband Husband on a Date:

  1. What is something that God has been teaching you lately?
  2. How have you seen God work in the last week?
  3. What is something I have or haven’t done that makes you feel loved?
  4. In what way(s) do you think our marriage could be stronger?
  5. What is one way I could initiate sex with you this week?
  6. Is there an activity in which you’d like for me to join you? If so, what?
  7. How are you doing mentally and emotionally?
  8. How can I best support you when you are feeling down?
  9. What is one of your favorite things to do with our kids?
  10. What could I do to help you get some rest this week?

By the way, if you’re itching for some unique, budget friendly date night ideas, check out this post!

Played out in the rain for two hours yesterday. Le Played out in the rain for two hours yesterday. Let the kids stay up past their bedtime to chase a spider. Counted the seconds between lightning and thunder. Put them to bed with dirty feet.

I’ve been looking forward to summer as soon as it ended last year. So glad I get to share it with these two little chickens.

I love having a little boy. I love having a little boy.
I was so zoned in on my work that I totally missed I was so zoned in on my work that I totally missed when Huck found some styrofoam from a box I received. I looked up and was slightly horrified.

It was too late to say no.

It was too late to snatch that trash outta his hand.

Instead, I took a moment to just enjoy their enjoyment.

It took me a while to vacuum up the mess that nearly covered the floor, but one day I know I’ll be wishing I had more remnants of their childhood to clean up.

One day I’ll hear the echos of my own voice in an empty home with no mess to clean, no baby to hold.

So here’s your reminder to just let them make a mess every once in a while. It’ll be gone soon.
